Newsletter Stack is designed to be useful without accounts, advertising profiles or cross-site tracking.
Cookie-free first-party analytics
Starting 26 July 2026, the site uses a limited first-party analytics service operated at x-app.eu. On each page view, the browser sends the site hostname, requested path and, when the browser supplies it, the referring hostname and path without query parameters. Newsletter Stack does not set analytics cookies or load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or advertising pixels. The only script served from another origin is the Google preferred sources control described below, which this site does not use for measurement.
The measurement is used to understand which guides are useful, compare site and page traffic over time and maintain the x-app.eu network. It is not used for behavioral advertising or to build a reader profile.
Sessions and anonymous daily counts
A random session identifier is kept in sessionStorage and remains valid for 30 minutes of inactivity. It is replaced after that interval and is removed when the browser tab session ends. The analytics endpoint receives ordinary network request data. It processes the IP address transiently with a rotating daily salt to create a one-way daily anonymized visitor hash; the raw IP address is not stored. The user agent is reduced to a device category, and the hosting edge may add a country code for aggregated reporting. The daily hash is not designed to recognize a reader across days.
Reports contain aggregated counts by date, site hostname, page path, referrer, device category and country. The random session identifier supports session totals; it is not connected to a name, account, email address or advertising identifier. Hosting and network providers may separately process ordinary technical request data needed to deliver and protect the site under their own infrastructure policies.
No accounts, comments or forms
The site has no user accounts, newsletter signup, comments, contact form or uploaded files. Outbound source links take you to third-party sites, whose privacy practices apply after you leave Newsletter Stack.
Google preferred sources control
The footer carries an Add Newsletter Stack to your Google preferred sources control. It is an ordinary link to Google’s own source settings and works with JavaScript turned off. When JavaScript is available, a script served by Google at news.google.com upgrades it so the confirmation appears in a Google dialog on this page instead of on a separate Google page. That script is requested from Google on every page of this site, so Google receives ordinary technical request data for it, and Google’s terms apply to that request and to any choice you confirm. Newsletter Stack is not told whether you used the control, receives no identifier from it and sets no cookie for it. Blocking third-party scripts leaves the control working as a plain link.
Local interactive tools
The platform-cost and sponsorship-scenario calculators run entirely in your browser and do not submit or save their inputs. The migration checklist stores checked items in this browser's local storage so progress survives a reload. That data never leaves your device through this site. Use the reset control or clear site storage to remove it.
